1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Better Español, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the application. Continued use of Better Español constitutes acceptance of any updates or modifications to these terms.
2. Accounts
An account is optional, but if you create one you must provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for unauthorised access.
3. Subscriptions
Better Español may offer subscription access to premium features. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis — monthly or annually — and renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current period. Managing and cancelling a subscription is done through your App Store account settings, not through us.
4. Learning Progress
Better Español tracks your learning progress, including words learned, review history, grades, and streak data. This information personalises your review schedule and powers features such as the word garden and statistics. Your learning data is tied to your account and can be deleted on request.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to reverse-engineer the app, scrape or redistribute its vocabulary content, or use it to build a competing product. The Spanish content, example sentences, and audio in Better Español are licensed for your personal learning use only.
6. Device Features & Widgets
Better Español offers widgets and other device-integrated features. These are provided on a best-effort basis and their behaviour depends on your device's operating system, version, and settings — iOS in particular controls how often a widget may refresh. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation of widget-based features.
7. Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to Better Español at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. On termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. You may also close your account at any time by contacting us.
8. Limit of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Better Español and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service — arising out of or related to your use of the application.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms of Service. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice before the new terms take effect. Continued use of Better Español after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
